Having been a sport women until Scoliosis bent me double I can now walk with a straighter back & enjoy shopping & walking even on rough ground - I feel so much more confident.
My byAcre Overland was a great buy. I have found I am able to walk more upright and more freely using it. Because it is lightweight, I can manage to lift it in and out of my car quite easily. I gave it a thorough try out over different surfaces at Wrest Park last week. It was great to be able to enjoy the park walking, instead of having to use one of their mobility scooters. Having the Overland has opened up opportunities to visit places I had thought I could no longer manage.
Here is a photo of me and 'Percy' at Wrest Park.
I first purchased the Ultralight which has been a delight to use on local shopping trips etc. But now we are having some spring like weather I wanted to venture out more into woods and rural (short) walks so decided to invest in the Overland too. Still the same ease of getting it into, and out of the car but it handles the woodland and gravel paths just that bit better.
So I now have two best friends to come out with me! So happy!
Picture below is my son following a Run at Abbots Wood - Dame Kelly Holmes happened to be there too!! My rollator is a bit shy and is behind the sign. ❤️
It holds so much stuff, which as someone both with temperature regulation issues and extra hydration needs means I can carry all my layers and water really easily. Not having to fumble with regular bags makes life so much simpler.
It looks very smart, and wouldn't be out of place in more formal settings - but it also is an excellent vessel for pins and badges for a fun casual look!
The flap closes with a magnetic popper, which is a great accessibility detail. I usually just leave it unzipped so I can grab stuff easily. I recommend buying the optional shoulder strap, because if you need to fold your rollator you can quickly snap it on and still carry your bag hands free.
The wheel fell of my previous Let's Fly rollator but I had had it for 8 years so rather than faffing about with repairs I ordered another scarlet one on Sunday it was delivered on Wednesday with excellent comunication from Assist Mobility. 10 days later one of the black caps came of the frame. Not quite as sleek as it was but you can't have everything!
Dear Janx,
Thank you for the constructive review and the photo. We are sorry for the inconvenience regarding the cap, a replacement one is now in the post to you.
All the best,
Suzanne
Not only were they amazingly helpful and friendly but my ByACRE rollator arrived the next day! Wonderful and would definitely recommend and use again as needed. Thank you so much all at Assist Mobility.
Thank you for your kind words and recommendation! We are thrilled to hear that you had an amazing experience with our service and that your ByACRE rollator arrived promptly. You made us all smile with your wonderful photo. Thank you for sharing
I purchased this Rose pink compact Rollat
or.
It is light and pretty.
It has given me a freedom I never thought I would regain.
I can lift it into the boot of my car and go to the shops or a walk in the country.
I have a dropped foot and nerve damage in my legs so completely reliant on a walking aid.
The compact walker does have quite a narrow seat so would only recommend for people with narrow hips!
I received byAcre carbon Rollator within a few days.
I am extremely pleased with it and love the light weight which makes it easy to lift on to trains and buses. I achieved this with it on my first outing. I am now able to be fully mobile again.
Thank you Assist Mobility for your kindness and help in purchasing it.
I bought this for indoor use to replace my tea trolley. It rolls great across thresholds in my home and, adding a little tray, I can use it to port things around. It works great in the garden too. I love the look and colour - it goes in my home well and with my outfits! As a young person that is important to me. My only complaint is the seat is not that comfortable for more than short sits - needs a thin foam cushion or something.
Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear how the byACRE rollator is being used and enjoyed.
We will pass your comments onto the design team.
Bought this for my mum who broke her back . Was very quick to arrive , super lightweight . Bought the travel bag which is excellent . Looks very stylish as mum is 79 years young and didn’t want something that would make her feel old !! Thank you for giving my mum the opportunity to get back outside again
I have just tried out my new minty green Nordic Pioneer rollator and it is an absolute game changer. At the young age of 58 I was very reluctant to get a black, chunky metal mobility aid. So when I saw the byAcre range, I knew I had found exactly what I needed. I’m absolutely thrilled and so glad I randomly bumped into one of your lovely ambassadors whilst out shopping. It gave me the confidence to order mine straight away.
As a young woman now struggling with mobility, it was important to me to find an aid that didn’t feel ‘old’ and I felt comfortable going out with. We messaged using the chat to get some support and enquire about possibly trialing a rollator, which I think is a lovely service! The responses were quick and very kind/friendly. Furthermore, I was emailed as a courtesy just so I had an email thread should there be any questions or problems and I was even contacted to say that my accessory purchased would arrive separately. The communication was never too much but I felt really up to date and involved with my purchase. The website provided great information to help me pick out the best aid for me too! No complaints at all and I’d purchase from Assist Mobilty again if I ever need to!
We are thrilled with how beneficial this has been. My husband could only walk two hundred yards because of back and hip pain, associated with Parkinson’s which makes him lean to one side. Using this, he has been able to build up over a couple of weeks to comfortably walk 1.5 miles. I chose the Tiger outdoor rollator because it is sturdy and wide, with big wheels. It copes well with fairly uneven surfaces, and is very stable, but you do need to be careful, as hitting a big pothole will stop it dead. I now walk with my husband and hold onto one side just in case. If using it alone, you would need to go slowly and carefully.
The back strap takes a lot of force to close, though it gets easier with practice. There is also a supporting strap between the handles, which you need to unclip before you can sit down. The armrest height seems good. I am 5’ 9” and they are easily high enough for me.
I am so pleased with my Rollator I can walk in forest with lots of tree roots along the paths . The Rollator is easy to push and very comfortable much better than my previous Rollator. It simple to lift in and out of the car and very light and easy to open . The seat is comfortable also .
I own a Topro Troja rollator which I have had for a few years. I’m flying this year and want to check it in at the airport. The bag is padded and fits the folded rollator with handles lowered. I can also include the bag that I use on the front. I think my rollator was a small one but there is space at the top should you have the slightly taller one. I am delighted. Delivery was quick and item well packed.
Ive had my red ultralight byAcre rollator for a year now & loved travelling with it , it has definitely encouraged me to walk more. Easy to lift into the car & on the train it sits beside me in a standard seat . I had previously bought a rollator with large wheels to use walking in the woods or beach beside my house ,but I started to feel this was to heavy & awkward to push . My husband suggested I buy a Carbon Overland & I absolutely love my new Rose one , great off road ‘ but also fantastic with the shopping bag to walk to the shop or pharmacy nearby, I try to build walking into my day as with a fused spine it’s the only exercise my physio advised me too do . He also advised me to use my rollator & keep walking. I find with either byAcre I walk straighter & can walk for longer .My husband has a beautiful sports car & is amazed because he says more people admire & ask about my rollators than the car 😂
This is the rolls Royce of Rollators. IT looks sleek, modern and is lightweight.
I bought one in pink as my favourite colour but many more colours available. It folds up and fits in most boots. We have a Vauxhall Mokka. I bought the backrest as an extra and pleased I did. In shops I can sit in comfort and look at merchandise in the shelves. IF I’m in a coffee shop etc and the seats are too low I can use the rollator seat and be at the right height. It floats on the wheels so no need to push hard. This means less pressure on my hands. The forward facing handles ensure you walk upright and you don’t stoop. I bought the shopping basket and use it a lot. The back wheels are wider than the front. I found that by slightly folding the seat I could navigate narrow spaces temporarily. As a bonus my replacement right knee no longer aches as it did using. Stick. My husband also said my walking stance is so much better. I can go further than with a stick and if I tire I can sit on the seat and rest for a few moments. It goes up hills great and you can use the brakes to control going down the hills. The acre rollator has given me my confidence back in being able to walk further and I do not feel like an old lady!!! ( Im 70)
I was going to Ireland 🇮🇪 at the end of October & it was going to be the first trip involving flying with my invaluable Ultralight. I knew of the travel bags, but was rather put off by many comments I’d read where other owners said how difficult it was to put the rollator into the bag ! Luckily, Assist Mobility were coming up to Norwich for a week with the byAcre range, so I was able to visit and have a demonstration. Now - having had a couple of practices - I am smugly sitting in Cork and very happy to recommend this bag to anyone. People had suggested getting the slightly larger bag intended for the Overland model, but I felt this looked rather ‘untidy’ and am glad to have the bag as intended for the Ultralight.
Assist Mobility arranged prompt delivery of my wife's new lightweight rollator to replace a heavy, noisy one. She is delighted with it. It weighs just 6kg with the bag attached and she can lift it into and out of our car by herself for the first time. The Saljol is virtually silent on the move thanks to the soft rubber wheels and kerbs and slopes can be tackled with ease due to the clever design. Thanks to Assist Mobility for your excellent customer service and follow up enquiries.
I went to my local John Lewis as I wanted to have a look at the Travel bag for my Overland rollator, and Assist Mobility were having a pop up shop for byACRE. Kim as always was really helpful, we wanted to make sure the bag was padded and would provide good protection for my rollator whilst travelling. It’s a well padded bag that fits the Overland perfectly, it also has a small carry handle and a larger strap to go over your shoulder. It fits very well in the boot of our car. I love my byAcre it’s been a game changer and I want to look after it. Thanks to both Kim and Sam again for the excellent service and knowledge they provide.
It really is ultra lightweight - I can lift it with one hand but usually use two as I have weak wrists. Can walk much closer to frame as the handles are reversed to my old Rollator, this keeps me more upright. The seat is good which I find very useful as I get fatigued and also it holds a heavy person (I’m a UK size 28). Brake lines are inside the struts so they don’t catch on things as you are passing, likewise the cane holder is on the inside rather than the usual outside. Finally when folded the Rollator actually lies flat on my car’s backseat.
Dad has postural hypertension and has been using a frame the walker has given him a new lease of life, he loves it and it’s so compact and lightweight and very easy to use
My wife has back problems the Acre overland is well constructed and very light the service from Assist Mobility was very good and professional service Thank you
Recovering from spinal decompression surgery 6 weeks ago and also had hip replacement 3 yrs ago , i’ve really struggled to go for a long walk like i used to do !
i’m 54 but got diagnosed with osteoarthritis and after my new hip 3 yrs ago i’ve struggled to walk due to the pain from the spinal stenosis and oa in knees and other hip ,
i was really not wanting to get a rollater as i thought id keep on trying to push on , but walking only a short distance i then have to stop and sit so this will be ideal for me and holidays and i feel i can still go out and have quality time with my husband , esp on holiday as i wouldn’t want to walk anywhere as its so painful with every step
This ultralight came highly recommended from a fb group im in so i bought one and i could use klarna to pay which helps as it is an expensive item but you cant put a price on health tbh
ive not used it much yet as im new to the scene of rollators plus im still in recovery from the op but so far people have commented asking where i got it
the beauty of this one is its v light and i can lift it in car myself so i can go shopping on my own as my husband works away a lot
wish id bought it sooner
And my cat approves :)
Easy to fit providing you have a T25 screwdriver and this is not a common item in the tool box.
For a disabled/ elderly person this represents a challenge .
Design and usefulness excellent especially for tall mugs with lids
